Costa Rica Here We Come!

July 5, 2013

Trip minus 1 1/2 days and counting...

This is my third time in Costa Rica with Pura Vida Missions, and I absolutely cannot wait to introduce my 34 CLC friends to this incredible place!! I have so many wonderful memories of tropical breezes, lush mountain views, VERY friendly "Ticos", amazing local food. The little children running towards us every morning as we stepped off the bus, ready for VBS. The nighttime indoor soccer game (indoor stadiums are everywhere) in San Ramon, us vs. the staff (we didn't stand much of a chance). Swimming at the waterfall. This time, we will also have the pleasure of doing construction projects. Above all, we will be sharing God's love with the Costa Rican people.

So who are we? Eight adults and 27 youth. Middle schoolers, high schoolers, college kids. From Springfield, Upper Dublin, Wissahickon, Plymouth-Whitemarsh school districts. Short and tall, blonde and brown haired. Some of us speak Spanish. Some of us begin and end with "Buenas dias." For some of us, it is our sixth trip together. For others, it is a very first mission trip ever.

In the week to come, we will be posting about our adventures in Central America, with pictures from our days of travel and service. As you read, please keep us in prayer, and know how much your love and support mean to us as we journey!

For now, adios!
